Deviation Actions
Whenever I go photographing, I come back with a relatively large number of pictures. The first time
I review the pictures, I remove the ones that have technical issues and the ones that I dislike. Later
on, I start working on the ones that are left. Once done, I start an internal debate with myself which
should be uploaded to DA...From time to time I consult my loved one about dilemmas and I find that we
have "artistic differences"

PhotoShoot Awards (Nude 2014)
After much deliberation (mainly with myself), I decided to try and send some of my pictures to the
PhotoShoot Awards (Nude 2014). To be honest, considering the photographers that participated last
year, I didn't think I had a chance. Some of the participating photographers have profiles on DeviantArt
and I follow and admire their work.
A couple of days ago, I received an e-mail from the organizers saying that one of my pictures is a finalist,
and three others were given a merit in the Academic Nude category. I am ecstatic and humbled.
The following pictures received a merit:

Wow!
To be honest, I can't really believe it. When I read such entries from others, I always wondered
what are they doing correctly that I'm doing wrong. The answer, I think, is nothing. I try to keep
on doing what I did in the past and get better at it.
So, thank you all for the support. I hope to continue taking photographs that you and I like.

Overwhelmed
Overwhelmed in a good way...I didn't think I will ever be in that position but
I have finally reached it. I have much more to do than I have time for (nothing new
there), but now I am also behind on my messages on the site.
Thank you all for the :+fav:s and the :+devwatch:es-I really appreciate it and it gives
me the fuel and motivation to continue.
I will do my best to get back to each one of you and thank you but if I don't- thank you!!!

I shoot much less than I used to shoot when I first started...
something like from 300 shots to 60 shots per photo session, but they are much better.
If time allows, I check and delete the bad ones while on the field, then when I get home I only get too see the "ok" ones and pick from them, making it easier.
I usually choose a number of best shots ranging from say 1 to 6 depending on how good are the photos. If I'm in doubt I show the pictures and ask opinions from a couple of friends (photographers and non photographers alike because each group sees different things)
